C.O.R.R.U.P.T.I.O.N.

2 years back, i badly wanted to take part in the Lokmat Debate competiton but sadly wasnt selected. The topic was "corruption is unavoidable" i am posting my debate! Hope you guys find it useful! 😊 here we goooooooo!!!
Have you noticed how a bunch of ants surround a cube of sugar? Similarly, where there is big money involved - corruption will most likely find its roots dug deep into the system. Its literally under every stone you turn. And, by now, most of us in india have learned to live with corruption as a part and parcel of our life.
Good morning, respected chairperson, friends and my anti-corruption opponents. I, xyz stand before tou all to voice my opinion on the topic "corruption is unavoidable" and i stand by the motion.
At one time, just a few decades back, to dabble in corrupt practises was something to be ashamed of. People would point the charging finger at the corrupt person and talk scandals in whispers about him. This goes to show that, corruption was a rare phenomenon.
As time passed by, this scenario undertook an absolute somersault. The malady spread through the length and breadth of the country and the world.
The situation as it stands today is that corruption is no slur on any individual; it has by now become a way of life. It has been so closely woven into our life patterns.
The situation in which we are today is so pathetic that, it is a wonder who will punish whom for corruption? The fact is that corruption has seeped deep into every corner and there appears to be no light at the end of the tunnel. IT HAS BECOME UNAVOIDABLE. The reason being that it was not treated in its earlier stages therefore it grew to this magnum size. If it had been tackled at its very inception, more and more people would have not joined the bandwagon and the situation would have not been as it is now. No corrupt person was ever punished for his/her corrupt practises. This gave an impetus to others to become so. Moreover, there was no specific punishment, so the element of fear also flew to the winds and people sared it all. More and more people crossed the fence as there were greener pastures across. This led to the present day scenario when it is like trying to touch the moon to look for an honest man.
To top it all, how can we forget the contribution of the false promisemakers- Humare Pyaare Netajiss. They are the bad apples at the top. Many new leaders when come into power declare their determination to eradicate corruption but soon they themselves become corrupt and start amassing huge wealth.
So cut long story short, avoiding corruption has now become a herculean task. To conclude i would like to say that, corruption is like a ball of snow, once set rolling, it will increase at every step.

I hope you guys found it useful. #happytohelp!
