Lets get the best of both worlds!

[WARNING: i am being a hypocrite here but who cares it is for a good cause. Enjoy reading. :)]

how many times do we check our Facebook in a day??
-a million plus one times.
how many of us tweet to our favourite celeb on an hourly basis with a hope that some or the day he/she will reply??
-90% of us.
how many of us upload our day to day activities on Instagram??
-who doesn't..!

my point being here is that we have attached ourselves so much to these social networking sites that they have become the part and parcel of our lives. Right from our outfits to our meals, everything is updated on these sites. its like you don't have to call someone to know their location. simply just log in and check their profile and there you go. Gone are the days when people would write to each other. gone are the days when people would actually meet in person. 21st century has transformed completely. E-mails have replaced letters and Skype is the new hangout.

All this while, social media has been proven an advantage to us. it has allowed us to speak our mind (i am implying it in a good sense.) it has not only united us but has also made us rise against the things which are WRONG! we are so well-connected that together we have been happy and together we've wept. When did the 21st century undergo such a drastic transition?! when did every soul on this earth became so active on these sites?? From where did this SOCIAL KEEDA sneaked upon us?!

These questions might go unanswered again because all of us stand clueless. But i have a major question on my mind. HAS SOCIAL MEDIA SPOILT US? Have they taken us to such a point that there is no coming back?! have we totally surrendered ourselves?? No Doubt they have given a DEFINITE voice to our thoughts but have we drowned ourselves so deep that there is nobody to save us...?

As every coin has two sides, this has its flip side too. it has caused so many cyber crimes. such crimes which can completely change the future of the victim. other than crimes, teenagers have increased their virtual visits to porn sites. they have been glued to their laptops and mobiles that these people don't log out at all. my personal experience has the same thing to preach. Even if i log in at 4 in the afternoon or 4 in the morning, i'll at least find 3 out of 5 people online. so this is the scenario.

What is the possible solution to it. i see 'self-control' as the only possible way out of this mess. The urge should come from within.
I am not asking you to become 'anti-social'. you should have the best of both the worlds- the real as well as the virtual one.
So look up from your phone, shut down that display. Its time to get back to the real world.
Toodles!

C.O.R.R.U.P.T.I.O.N.

2 years back, i badly wanted to take part in the Lokmat Debate competiton but sadly wasnt selected. The topic was "corruption is unavoidable" i am posting my debate! Hope you guys find it useful! 😊 here we goooooooo!!!
Have you noticed how a bunch of ants surround a cube of sugar? Similarly, where there is big money involved - corruption will most likely find its roots dug deep into the system. Its literally under every stone you turn. And, by now, most of us in india have learned to live with corruption as a part and parcel of our life.
Good morning, respected chairperson, friends and my anti-corruption opponents. I, xyz stand before tou all to voice my opinion on the topic "corruption is unavoidable" and i stand by the motion.
At one time, just a few decades back, to dabble in corrupt practises was something to be ashamed of. People would point the charging finger at the corrupt person and talk scandals in whispers about him. This goes to show that, corruption was a rare phenomenon.
As time passed by, this scenario undertook an absolute somersault. The malady spread through the length and breadth of the country and the world.
The situation as it stands today is that corruption is no slur on any individual; it has by now become a way of life. It has been so closely woven into our life patterns.
The situation in which we are today is so pathetic that, it is a wonder who will punish whom for corruption? The fact is that corruption has seeped deep into every corner and there appears to be no light at the end of the tunnel. IT HAS BECOME UNAVOIDABLE. The reason being that it was not treated in its earlier stages therefore it grew to this magnum size. If it had been tackled at its very inception, more and more people would have not joined the bandwagon and the situation would have not been as it is now. No corrupt person was ever punished for his/her corrupt practises. This gave an impetus to others to become so. Moreover, there was no specific punishment, so the element of fear also flew to the winds and people sared it all. More and more people crossed the fence as there were greener pastures across. This led to the present day scenario when it is like trying to touch the moon to look for an honest man.
To top it all, how can we forget the contribution of the false promisemakers- Humare Pyaare Netajiss. They are the bad apples at the top. Many new leaders when come into power declare their determination to eradicate corruption but soon they themselves become corrupt and start amassing huge wealth.
So cut long story short, avoiding corruption has now become a herculean task. To conclude i would like to say that, corruption is like a ball of snow, once set rolling, it will increase at every step.

I hope you guys found it useful. #happytohelp!

What is it to be like... YOU?!?!!

Finally my 12th boards have ended!! Yayyyy! To add to my 'happy list' my 18th birthday is around the corner. Double yayyy! Its going to be a happy month. My vacations are in full swing. Enjoying myself to the bone. Slumber parties with cousins, whatsapping,BBMing, facebooking, tweeting (hardcorely), shopping, talking hours and hours on the phone,music-n-movies and soooooo many other things!! There is another thing that i have realized all this time... Belive and Be yourself! Its better when you are yourself! You can not only radiate happiness but even UNIQUE-ness. People not only love you more but they also tend to stick around you! They start hanging out with you because they enjoy your company. They enjoy YOU! When you love yourself more, others see and get inspired! So you are doing this world a favor too!
If you are the jibbery-jabber girl then be that. Dont be someone just to please someone. If you are shy or coy. Let it be the way it is. Let people around you love who you ACTUALLY are. If you are a foodie, then eat what pleases you. (And if the people around give that "oh god! Is she mad or something?!" Look then eat them up to)
Let go of the LKK( log kya kahenge) fear. And if you think or feel that you will be not COUNTED or accepted then you are sadly mistaken my friend. But i am not implying it in the wrong way. if you are the creepy one and not a single soul wants you around then please for the love of almighty change yourself.
Last thing on the 'Be Yourself' list is this amazinggg quote i came across- Be yourself cause everybody else is taken! Aint it cool?!
So try being yourself and i bet you will do wonders.
P.S. Start by getting inspired by the marilyn munroe quote. It hepls! 😊

We Are Who We Are!

heyyy bloggers!!
Happy Women's day to all the lovely ladies out there.. its your day!! enjoy it your way! well my day wasn't that special. the same old routine. get up, dress up, open your books, watch tv, eat food and sleep! actually more of TV today. i turned on my idiot box and O.M.G. everything was about women. EVERY DAMN THING! right from the advertisement to the movies. there is a new national anthem (an initiative by WIFT,NGO) where all the Bollywood queens have sung it. Romedy Now (channel) is celebrating Women's Day by broadcasting movies of the greatest women celebrities. VH1 had all the videos of female singers covered. sounds very Cliché right? i mean these people have been doing the same over the years. Highlighting our importance and blah blah blah...
But out of all this, a thought struck my mind. is it only today that we acknowledge the ladies. well yes today is meant to be our day but why our importance is shown only today?! intrigued..right?
we as women play a very crucial role in everyone's life. the way we live, the way we respond, the way we do things not only affect us but people living around too. we play so many different roles.
A mother.
A daughter.
A wife.
A mistress.
A sister.
A mother-in-law.
A girlfriend.
and many more....
Many people consider these roles as our JOB! For instance, a mother has fallen sick. everyone in the house wonders  WHO IS GONNA DO HER JOB? Plus our JOBS are so unique that only we can handle them. people expect a lot and its our job to live up to their expectations. so my question how are we rewarded for the JOBS we perform? in my opinion "A DAY AINT ENOUGH BABY..!"
Getting acknowledged then and there makes a difference to us. being appreciated for your work is the biggest reward. be it any work. (No dirty minds, please!)
But the world has been kind enough to dedicate one whole day to us. so LADIES, WELL DONE! ;)
